An insight into Google engineering design

In about 45 minutes, Google will be releasing a brand new browser onto the net called Chrome. Along with all the hype (you may have seen the press already), Google have released a comic strip that talks about the design decisions that they made as the developed it. Have a read - it's worth it for an insight into the (engineering-oriented) design process at Google.

When you're done reading, Chrome will probably be ready to grab, so get your (Windows only at this stage) goodness here:

I like it. I find that it's much quicker than IE. One thing that's really annoying though is the way the bookmarks are organised.

In IE, you have the choice to make changes directly in the favourites folder. There is no similar folder for Chrome. Apparently, its here:

Vista:
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Goog... Data\Default\History

XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Local Settings\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\History

But couldn't locate it. Even after using SQLlite to view the file. It would be my browser of choice if this problem was fixed. Can't please everyone I suppose..
